COMM 1102 - Accounting II (Managerial)

An introduction to the use of accounting information by managers, within the organization. This course examines how accounting can provide information to assist management in their planning, decision-making and performance evaluation activities. Both qualitative and quantitative information supports this decision-making. Emphasis is on management accounting and analysis, with the following objectives: To develop an understanding of the kinds of accounting information managers need; To examine managerial accounting methodologies and develop the analytical and procedural skills related thereto; To prepare accounting reports which are useful for management planning, control and decision making; To develop an awareness of the limitations of managerial accounting information.

We are not offering prep sessions in this course in this academic semester.
